  1. Here's an example of what I ate:
    Breakfast-hardboiled egg w/ 2 slices lite swiss cheese, tea or coffee
    snack-almonds
    lunch-canned chicken (if you eat the whole can OH MY GOSH YOU WILL BE FULL FOR HOURS AND NO CARBS!!!! or turkey and swiss and salad
    snack-yogurt
    dinner-protein and salad

  2. And the cool thing about adding in the plain yogurt w/ vanilla flavored protein powder (that's exciting!!!) and the flax seed is that usually 'low carb' means low fiber...but the fiber is awesome for your system, heh!! That's why I think Lanea's plan here is perfect!

  3. I think if we focus on eating protein, veggies, yogurt and nuts along w/ the flax and Benefiber, we're going to be freakin' AMAZING looking!!! So Lanea, if we look as awesome as you, will you take us on vacation, heh!!

  5. Gabby, I'm not kidding about the canned chicken. Plop it in a bowl, pour some Trader Joes Lowfat Parmesan ranch dressing on it, eat it..and you seriously won't be hungry for the LONGEST time.

  9. I'm drinking a diet coke...just drank green tea before that. I had 3 oz. of turkey rolled up w/ 2 slices of lite swiss (jarlsburg from costco) and a scoop of peanut butter. I know what you mean, Gab, about the more you work out the more you feel hungry. (: Did Lanea already answer that in the old post?

  11. Im eating the chicken now!!!! You girls are so funny- I love your excitement it is contagious- Jackie was on couch for a bit she was getting sore throat but I'm calling her now o see if she can get back on here. ANd Jackie is already at a great weight and she works out - she needs convenience foods, and has to eat better- she loves to eat healthy like us - I can share this with you since I have known her for over 8 years!

  13. super! well she more then anyone needs the garlic soup as its a natural antibiotic. She needs Yakult 3 today if she feels not so well. She needs the in pill for probotics and and tylenol and she will feel perfect tomorrow. I have not been sick since i met my husband and either has he ask him!

  14. is this the Atkins diet? Not to get off track- just curious, I've done them all!!!!!
    So Lanea, to answer you, my goal is 25 lbs, but if I can drop 10 in the next few weeks, then maybe I can go back to the original plan? I can't even think of processed foods now or bread since doing my cleanse, and I want to make sure I am still eating clean so the frozen foods I won't do (lean cuisine etc.) Make sense? I think my biggest obstacle is hunger. I also have all that yogurt I just bought so do I stay awau from that for now? 120 cal 7 carbs?

  15. I want chicken in a can! i am eating the soup right now and having wine cuz my neck hurts! thats so funny! not that jackie is sick but that she was our number one for the workout log and now nobody is there and my neck hurts hmmm i am temppted right now!

  16. for me double fish oil to assist with taking the swelling down on my neck and advil but i dont have any darn! i have like at least 10 hour plus day tomorrow Ha!

  18. Hey, Gabi, I'm with ya on staying away from frozen foods/processed foods. But hey, Lanea, last night I went out on a hot date, did I tell you?? Dinner and Kooza!! It was awesome! And I had fish for dinner, heh!

I would be like whats all this seriously! so, come on lets get them in here man, amercian idol is one way whats another? you might be famous girls someday by the name Gabi and Jennifer so just dont give out anything else! Ha! just kidding I am hiding my stuff after you get to have it first hand but there is some more stuff to come that I have not shown to you but I have to trust you can follow with me and work along with me and make this work you can do it!

I never saw her personality shine until I saw her after 2 months on this diet and Jennifer correct me if i am wrong but fun memories right? remember Lily use to say oh yah right Jennifer, i want to see Lanea eat 3 chicken breaasts and 4 eggs in a day! remember that! well!

  25. heh funny Gabi, cuz did you see that nice long list of massive carbs and calories with all those meats. Well its amazing how much turkey and salmon tastes after that! its way better then turkey or chicken and my family would NEVER believe I said that!

  27. ok one other big challenge for me.......TIME! As in instant gratification! I'm like my kids, need results now to get me through... so bad I know. Patience is a virtue and all that.... Truth is if I get on the scale and numbers don't move down, I get sooooo discouraged! I try and go by the way clothes fit.

  30. If you want to diet forever go ahead but its not happening. I told Jennifer to give me 3 months to help her and not to weigh herself etc etc. Jennifer, tell her when you lost it and by the way, excited to see you step it further Jenn! Also, Gabi, I am seriously a Pro at this. The only reason I told you I will lose for you 7 pounds as i dont mind doing anyway but i said that just to show you i know what I am saying or would waste my time! but thats the soonest the pounds will come off. You give me 3 months and I will take of 15 pounds unless thats too much but you have to be a big supporter of my needs with you

  32. Heh, see that Gabi, there is a reason that she said that and do you know what Gabi. She was not at all like that before. I use to have to motivate her. I feel like she has taken over her own life here thats what I think and I really like it. Now, she is a personal trainner and she is coming to me because she knows i just adore her will to want more and she knows i will be here for her until the end. Isnt that right Jennifer. And, I know and now SHE knows and isnt that the most fun part Jennifer that you know it cuz it worked before? Thats what I want for Gabi.

  35. yeah like i want to lose 4 pounds in 4 minutes what can i do. Here is the thing sweetheart, you dont know what you want until you have got it! Ha! I promise you that in 3 months if your a very good girl here that you will say these words to me... Lanea oh my gosh no way... I lost it! I lost it! Then you wont gain it back and you will look back at how long it took to lose it and how long it took it to lose it when you found what to do. As I say in one of my favorite sayings below on my site.. it takes more energy to fight then to get along. This does not only go for relationships.

  37. This is a horrible example but I will use it because piece by piece and everything I have gone through has been a part of this food routine here. When my grandmother was passing, it was awful and I wasnt quite sure if I was going to breathe if she did not and it was very scary for me. They were keeping her alive through iv you know.. and.

  38. Since I have been in the field of nursing before, I was a little bit familiar with the electolites, proteins, potasium all that stuff that keeps you hanging on. Well, I remember i asked a question that I kind of already knew the answer to but I wanted to hear it I guess.... And, that was... So, is that all she needs to stay alive? I wanted to know that if thats all she would get forever, was it enough. And, sad as it sounds hearing it well he said yes, its all that she needs for now but for her to have her muscle tone back, she is going to need protein and that meant she has to be able to eat or its over. Thats when..

I went down to the cafeteria and bought a protein shake, started thinking and let me tell you it was all very clear what I felt I knew about the physical body, I knew that from that point on, that I didnt need to waste my time with all of those meals and mcdonalds and even pasta primavera all that chinese food and so forth not that I ate that so much before but that for example and I said to myself.. I study everything starts now. I only require the best supplements and the best research doctors etc. Everything is current that I read and even so if it wasnt super close to for sure fact then i didnt write it down and thats how this all started.

In truth my friends, I have been for the past 6 months, up 2 hours earlier then normal, sitting with my cat on my couch, drinking green tea early early sometimes 2 or 3 cups having my soup and reading 2 books at a time going back and forth and writing when i see something good. Thats is what information that I have been giving to you. Thats why i feel nice when I share this with you as thats just what i feel i am suppose to do.

  45. Oh my gosh, Lanea! So true. Poor grandma. We should 'eat to live', not 'live to eat'!! Thank you for your faith in me, Lanea!! I know Gabi and I will succeed at this!! It's interesting how when we were young...really young...we could workout and pretty much eat whatever (within reason). Now...even w/ working out, the diet is SO important!! (diet as in 'what we are eating')

We can call this our first group! Then the next group can be the 2nd group if they want to and then our 1st group will be blogging of something new and exciting and we can look back, what do you say?
